Minecraft Quality of Life Mods

Inspiration

Minecraft is a game that many love and have fond memories with. It's also built off Java, which seemed like a fun, possible project for our group.

What it does

Adds simple quality of life changes to the game to make things easier for the player.

How we built it

It is developed off the Fabric API and coded using Java 21.

Challenges we ran into

There were more bugs than anticipated and not much documentation, as the version of Minecraft we developed the mod on (1.21.10) is the latest version.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have deliverables! The features are actually working and makes the game slightly more enjoyable and convenient.

What we learned

Minecraft mod making is literally regular Java coding.

What's next for Minecraft Quality of Life Mods

We wanted to add more features (had a whole backlog of features in FigJam). A feature that we unfortunately couldn't implement in time was a toggleable settings menu.
