MindSpark – Your AI Study Companion

Inspiration

Students often struggle with time, focus, and understanding lessons. We wanted to build a tool that makes studying easier, smarter, and less stressful.

What it does

MindSpark is an AI study companion. It helps students summarize text, translate, take notes, rewrite essays, proofread, and even chat with an AI tutor.

How we built it

We used React for the frontend and Node.js with Express for the backend. Firebase handles auth, database, and hosting. We connected Chrome’s Gemini APIs for AI features like summarization, translation, and chatbot responses. Tailwind CSS and Framer Motion made the design clean and interactive.

Challenges we ran into

We faced issues with API integration, chatbot response accuracy, and making the UI simple but powerful. Managing time and teamwork was also a challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a working web app in a short time, integrated multiple AI tools, and designed a clean interface that makes learning easier.

What we learned

We learned how to integrate AI APIs, manage cloud services, work as a team, and design for real users, not just for code.

What's next for MindSpark – Your AI Study Companion

We plan to add voice support, more study tools like flashcards, and mobile access so students can learn anytime, anywhere.
