Inspiration

In a hyper-competitive society, young people may feel pressured to measure up to unrealistic standards set by peers, celebrities, or societal norms, leading to feelings of inadequacy and social anxiety. Economic instability can contribute to feelings of stress and anxiety, impacting young people's ability to engage in social activities due to financial constraints or worries about the future. Despite increasing awareness, there is still a stigma surrounding mental health issues, which can prevent young people from seeking help for their social anxiety or feeling comfortable discussing their struggles with others.

What it does

A therapeutic simple gamic approach to deal with social anxiety. The player will be asked to take a seminar in front of the class. The game allows the player to speak with guided instructions that aids them to deliver a clean public speech. This practice helps them to face a real world crowd, where they will become more comfortable to take up a simple conversation.

How we built it

We utilized Unity 2023.3.19f1 engine as a mixed reality platform . Sketchfab was used to for 3D model assets and Mixamo for non playable characters(NPC) with animations.

Challenges we ran into

Interfacing UI buttons to the set environment. Matching animations to each of the NPCs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

To provide a gamified personal support to heal and handle social anxiety ,that is aimed to support the mental health is our accomplishment.

What we learned

This application can be a part of the anxiety therapy. Technical support on health care domain has also an optimistic approach .A proper utilisation of technology in our day to day life can be impactful in a goodway.

What's next for Mindscape

Mindscape plans to develope specific game levels for levels of anxiety .Through levels ,people could learn to handle their level of anxiety in a more realistic approach.
