Inspiration
We’ve all had that moment: an idea pops into our head and we can’t wait to tell someone about it, but when we try to explain or build it, it comes out all jumbled and vague. MindMeld was born out of the need to turn messy, half-baked ideas into structured, actionable plans. Whether you’re a student, maker, or founder, the first step is always the hardest, and we wanted to make it easy.
What it does
MindMeld takes unstructured, raw ideas (typed or spoken) and turns them into:- -A project name -A short description -A list of core features -A suggested tech stack -A step-by-step development roadmap It’s like having a product manager, naming assistant, and planning coach, all powered by AI, in one tool.
How we built it
Frontend: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Backend: Node.js AI: Google Gemini to process and structure the idea
Challenges we ran into
Designing a prompt that returns useful, structured outputs consistently Handling vague or complex user input meaningfully Keeping the UI minimal while providing multiple output sections Making voice input feel smooth
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting clean, usable results from a single line of text Making the app feel fast and intuitive even in MVP Designing a user flow that’s inspiring and accessible Building something we’d actually use ourselves
What we learned
Users don’t want complexity—they want clarity and momentum Simplicity takes more effort than complexity A small idea can make a big impact if executed well Use of other API keys
