Inspiration
Student mental wellness is one of the biggest challenges today. Many students silently struggle with stress, anxiety, academic pressure, irregular sleep, and burnout. We wanted to build something simple, supportive, and accessible — a tool that can identify early signs of burnout and guide students with personalized AI support. Our inspiration came from real experiences around us, seeing friends and classmates overwhelmed during exams or deadlines. We wanted to create an app that actually helps students before stress becomes severe.
What it does
MindMate is an AI-powered wellness companion that helps students track their emotions, understand their mental state, and receive personalized guidance. It provides:
Daily mood check-ins
AI wellness chat that gives supportive advice
Burnout prediction using mood, sleep, and stress patterns
Personalized wellness recommendations
Habit tracking (sleep, water, study time)
Weekly insights and trend analytics
It guides students to manage stress in a healthy, structured way.
How we built it
We built MindMate completely using Base44’s no-code tools:
Visual Editor: Designed all UI pages (Home, Mood Check-In, AI Chat, Burnout Dashboard, Analytics)
Data Models: Stored mood history, sleep hours, stress levels, and burnout scores
AI Chat: Created a Wellness Coach that analyzes user input and provides guidance
Workflows: Calculated burnout risk automatically after each mood entry
Components: Used cards, icons, and soft gradients to create a clean, calm experience
The entire system works without traditional coding, powered by smart workflows and AI.
Challenges we ran into
Designing a clean and calming interface within the time limit
Making the burnout prediction logic simple but meaningful
Structuring the data model to support mood history and analytics
Configuring AI to respond helpfully without giving medical advice
Syncing the workflows correctly after mood submissions
Each challenge helped us understand Base44’s features more deeply.
