Inspiration

The inspiration for MindMate came from the realization that people with ADHD often struggle to access and process information due to the condition's impact on attention and focus. We wanted to create a solution that could provide reliable and concise information on a variety of topics, presented in a way that would be more easily digestible for people with ADHD.

What it does

MindMate is a project that combines a chatbot and a website to provide users with information on a variety of topics. The chatbot allows users to enter a topic of interest, and the website provides a summary of the information in an ADHD-friendly format. This way, users can quickly and easily access information on topics of interest without being overwhelmed or distracted.

How we built it

MindMate was built using the UiPath platform and the OpenAI API. We developed a workflow that integrates with the OpenAI API to retrieve information on a given topic, and then processes that information to generate a summary that is presented on the website. We also designed the website to be simple and minimalist to minimize distractions.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we faced was integrating the OpenAI API with the UiPath platform. We had some trouble with API authentication and response parsing, which caused some bugs and issues with the workflow execution. We also had to spend time experimenting with different designs and conducting user testing to ensure that the website was effective in meeting the needs of people with ADHD.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're really proud of the final product and the impact it can have on people with ADHD. We were able to create a solution that provides reliable and concise information in a way that is easy to digest and minimizes distractions. We also learned a lot about the integration of different platforms and the importance of user testing and feedback in design processes.

What we learned

We learned a lot about the challenges of building a project that addresses the specific needs of people with ADHD. We also gained experience with the UiPath platform and the OpenAI API, as well as with designing a user interface that is effective for people with ADHD.

What's next for MindMate

Moving forward, we plan to continue developing and refining MindMate based on user feedback and testing. We also hope to explore ways to expand the topics covered and make the platform more accessible to people with different types of learning differences. Ultimately, we aim to make MindMate a valuable resource for anyone looking for reliable and easily digestible information.
