Inspiration
While preparing for exams or trying to understand complex topics, we often found ourselves spending hours searching across multiple websites and videos for clear explanations. This process was inefficient and fragmented. We wanted to create a solution where anyone could simply say what they want to learn and immediately experience an interactive, visual explanation—just like being taught by a real teacher. This inspired us to build Mindly, an AI-powered platform that makes learning engaging, personalized, and effortless.
What it does
Mindly is an AI-powered interactive learning platform that combines a 3D virtual teacher with an AI-driven whiteboard. Students can learn any topic by simply telling the AI what they want to study. The 3D teacher then explains concepts visually on the whiteboard using text, diagrams, and animations. Learners can interrupt at any time, ask questions, or request clarifications, and the AI responds naturally through the 3D character, creating a dynamic two-way classroom experience.
How we built it
We developed Mindly using a combination of modern technologies:
3D Avatar Engine: Built using advanced 3D rendering frameworks to simulate a lifelike AI teacher.
AI-Powered Whiteboard: Designed to visualize explanations dynamically through generated text, diagrams, and animated visuals.
Natural Language Processing (NLP): Enables real-time dialogue, allowing users to converse naturally with the AI.
Backend + AI Integration: Connected the conversational AI with the 3D engine and whiteboard through APIs and prompt engineering, ensuring synchronized and context-aware responses.
Challenges we ran into
Building Mindly presented several technical and creative challenges, including:

Ensuring that the AI-generated explanations were both accurate and visually meaningful.

Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of successfully creating a working prototype that demonstrates the power of combining AI, 3D animation, and interactive learning. Seeing our 3D teacher explain topics visually and respond intelligently to questions felt like a significant step toward the future of personalized education. We are also proud of how well the system synchronizes explanations between the avatar and the whiteboard, delivering a smooth, classroom-like experience.
