Inspiration

In today’s fast-paced world, organizing events — whether casual meetups, corporate summits, or community gatherings — can be a logistical nightmare. I’ve personally experienced the chaos of juggling spreadsheets, group chats, and endless phone calls to manage even small-scale events. That’s when the idea of EviStro was born — an AI-powered event management assistant that brings structure, intelligence, and automation to event planning.

What it does

EviStro is a smart event management application powered by AI and backed by modern web tech. It allows users to:

  • Create and manage events effortlessly
  • Generate smart suggestions (timings, venues, budgets) using AI
  • Invite attendees and track RSVPs
  • Assign tasks and reminders to event collaborators
  • Get AI-generated descriptions, checklists, and post-event summaries
  • Securely store and sync data in real-time with Supabase

How we built it

  • AI Core: Developed using Cursor AI with the Sonnet 3.7 Think model for intelligent decision-making and dynamic content generation
  • Backend: Powered by Supabase for real-time database operations, authentication, and file storage
  • Frontend & Hosting: Built with modern web technologies and hosted seamlessly on Vercel
  • Integration Layer: Carefully crafted to balance real-time responsiveness with AI flexibility

Challenges we ran into

  • Integrating Supabase real-time syncing with the AI-generated dynamic content
  • Optimizing prompt design for the Sonnet 3.7 model to produce relevant and coherent event-specific outputs
  • Ensuring smooth deployment and scaling with Vercel
  • Designing a UI that balances simplicity with robust functionality
