Inspiration
We live in the 21st century, but mental health is still taboo, and the current pandemic has further worsened the situation. Working from home for about a year has taken a toll on our mental wellbeing. Our main concern while making this is we often feel it's hard to find someone who can listen to us patiently without judging, so we have tried to make a community of such people who can chat with each other.
What it does
Our projects main aim is to make a community of people helping each other People who are feeling low can come there and uplift themselves by sharing their feelings with others.
How we built it
We built the backend on a flask and used socket.io for real-time chatting. We have used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create the user interface.
Challenges we ran into
We faced a little problem in making the user interface of the app as none of us knew much about it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to build a prototype of a working application in such a short time.
What we learned
We learned about the user interface, using a database to store credentials and logging in users.
What's next for Mindfulness
Although we are not able to integrate these features during the hackathon we will work on them in the future.
- Gamification of PHQ9 form to gauge the mental fitness of the person.
- This form will be in a one vs another game mode to incentivize the people to fill it.
- Smart matching of people with good mental health with the people with poor mental so that both of them will be benefitted from doing so we will use the data from the previous feature.
