Inspiration
We were inspired by an app called Oak, with simple and clean layout design as ours. Our site has tests to check stress as well, so it is a level up from the competition.
What it does
Our website had multiple different features seamlessly integrated into a beautiful layout. This website lets you navigate to meditation, stress test, and breathing pages which each have their own features. As a whole, one can destress from the challenges of life by using the site and it's multiple pages. The website is also fully reflexive.
How we built it
We built the website using HTML 5, CSS 3, and JS. We used repl.it for live code sharing and easy webpage updating.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a couple difficult layout issues especially with block content not positioning correctly. We also were not able to easily create and import media because of the issue of images being off-sized. We were able to fix both of these issues and any minor bugs that we had along the way.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the layout and navigation system on the site and the overall theme of the site.
What we learned
We learned to stick with an idea and go for it, as well as delegate tasks a bit better so each person is not overlapping on live editing the same file adding a portion of content.
What's next for mindfull.
Next, mindfull plans to add more content and exercises in the meditation and breathing portions of the site. Perhaps the stress test could also recommend various workouts or ask more questions. All of this can be done in leisure time outside the hackathon where time is short.
