Inspiration

Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and aware in the moment without judgment.

I took a meditation wellness class that inspired me to practice a little bit of mindfulness each day. I like to clear my head but also focus my thoughts to goals and affirmations I want to recognize for the day. It's sometimes hard to focus my thoughts, so I created this app!

What it does

It allows users to enter goals and affirmations for the day. Then the user meditates for a set amount of time, with those goals and affirmations visible in case the mind wanders.

How I built it

I built the app using Swift since I love the clean and sleek look of SwiftUI.

Challenges I ran into

One was remembering the syntax of Swift, I had not worked with the language in a while. At times my code was a bit too 'heavryweight' so another challenge was using my time/space resources wisely.

This is an app that is useful to me in my everyday life

What I learned

I learned more about working with SwiftUI and also efficient problem solving

  • google cal integration
  • notifications throughout the day about goals and affirmations
