AcadoAI – Smart School Operating System

AcadoAI empowers schools to save time, reduce manual effort, and enhance academic decisions by converting daily school data into clear, AI-powered insights for the entire school community.

Inspiration

Schools generate a large amount of data every day, such as attendance, exams, and performance records.
However, most systems only store this data and do not help schools understand it.

We observed that:

  • Students struggle when learning outside the classroom
  • Teachers spend too much time on preparation
  • Administrators lack clear visibility into school performance

This inspired us to build AcadoAI, an AI-first system that supports learning, teaching, and decision-making across the entire school ecosystem.

What it does

AcadoAI is an AI-powered Smart School Operating System for students, teachers, parents, and administrators.

It helps schools:

  • Save time
  • Reduce manual work
  • Improve academic and operational decisions

AcadoAI transforms everyday school data into clear, actionable, AI-driven insights.

How we built it

We built AcadoAI using a modular and scalable architecture:

  • Web-based dashboards for Admin, Teacher, and Student
  • Secure backend for academic and operational data
  • AI assistants for learning, content creation, and analytics
  • NotebookLM integration for document-based understanding
  • Role-based access control for privacy and security

The system is designed to be simple for non-technical users and scalable for future growth.

AI Features – Student Side

AcadoAI supports students with continuous, AI-driven learning tools:

  • Live AI Tutor available 24/7 for real-time conversation and query solving
  • NotebookLM integration to help students understand books, notes, and study material
  • Subject-wise AI expert chatbots for focused academic help
  • AI-powered learning games, including:
    • Bingo games
    • Critical thinking games
    • Logic and problem-solving games
  • Social activity system where teachers and parents upload student activities, with likes and comments

These features help students learn independently and stay engaged beyond the classroom.

AI Features – Teacher Side

AcadoAI reduces teacher workload and improves teaching quality:

  • NotebookLM for teachers to analyze notes and reference material
  • AI Assistant to:
    • Create class topic presentations
    • Generate quizzes and tests of any type
    • Build structured lecture plans
  • AI support to identify student performance gaps and learning trends

This allows teachers to focus more on teaching and mentoring.

AI Features – Admin Side

AcadoAI gives administrators intelligent control and visibility:

  • AI Assistant that answers admin questions in natural language
  • AI-generated graphs and visual reports for any month or timeframe
  • Critical issue detection, where AI identifies academic or operational risks
  • Smart insights displayed directly on the admin dashboard

Admins no longer need manual reports — they can simply ask questions and get answers visually.

Challenges we ran into

  • Designing AI features that are helpful but not overwhelming
  • Making AI insights simple and actionable
  • Handling incomplete or inconsistent school data
