Inspiration Mental health is something many people struggle with but don't talk about. We wanted to create a simple tool that helps people check in with their mental well-being daily, without feeling overwhelmed or judged. The idea came from personal experiences of feeling stressed and not knowing how to track or manage those feelings. What it does MindCheck is a mental health check-in app that allows users to track their mood and mental well-being on a daily basis. It asks simple questions about how you are feeling, gives you a summary of your mental health trends, and offers helpful tips and resources based on your responses. How we built it We built MindCheck using a simple and clean tech stack. The frontend was built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to keep things easy to use. The backend was powered by Python and Flask to handle user data and responses. We stored user information in a lightweight database to track mood history over time. Challenges we ran into One of the biggest challenges was making the app feel friendly and not clinical. We also struggled with figuring out how to present mental health data in a way that is easy to understand without being alarming or discouraging to users. Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud of building a clean and simple app that feels welcoming to users. We are also proud of the mood tracking feature, which gives users a clear picture of their mental health journey over time.
