Inspiration

We were inspired to build MindBuddy to combat the growing mental health crisis among college students and provide a supportive community for those struggling with stress, anxiety, and other challenges.

What it does

A unique and powerful tool with its innovative features like daily challenges, event notifications, and healthy competitions to help college students to take control of their mental health.

How we built it

We performed extensive project analysis by considering its feasibility in marketing, engineering, and user experience design. We built the mockup of MindBuddy app through a collaborative team effort, incorporating feedback to ensure an intuitive, engaging and supportive experience.

Challenges we ran into

Coming up with the combined package of all features and producing mockups of the app was challenging. We also faced hurdles in integrating various functionalities into the demo.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Coming up with a professional presentation and detailed yet engaging mockups are some of the things we're most proud of. We're also proud of the diverse set of features we were able to incorporate into MindBuddy, including daily challenges, events, and competitions.

What we learned

Building MindBuddy was a valuable learning experience for our team. Not only did we gain expertise in developing an app, but we also learned how to pitch our idea well and professionally. In addition, we gained a deeper understanding of user experience design and the importance of creating an intuitive and engaging interface.

What's next for MindBuddy

We are excited about the future of MindBuddy and the potential impact it can have on the mental health of college students. We want to take this from an idea to a reality and potentially launch MindBuddy as a startup in the domain of mental wellbeing. Moving forward, we plan to continue to develop and improve the app, incorporating user feedback and implementing new features that promote mental wellness and community building.
