Inspiration

Seeing students failing at school due to stress and mental health and lacking any support system at all that aligns their learning needs with their wellbeing.

What it does

AI-powered platform that combines personalized tutoring with mental wellbeing support, tracking both academic and wellbeing metrics to provide integrated student development.

How we built it

React + TypeScript frontend with Google Gemini AI integration, wellness tracking algorithms, crisis detection systems, and hardcoded data storage with Firebase integration on the way.

Challenges we conquered

Designing AI that offers educational assistance without harming mental health, such as including crisis detection without firing false alarms and maintaining privacy for wellness-sensitive information.

Achievements we're proud of

Created the first system which considers academic success and mental well-being as two sides of the same coin, with AI learning adapted to emotional state.

What we learned

Mental well-being and academic success are hand in hand, AI can provide valuable wellness support if developed appropriately, and students need integrated rather than broken solutions.

What's next for MindBridge AI

Firebase integration of actual user data, school and mental health professional partnerships, integration of wearable devices, and the development of crisis intervention features.
