Once the project has been mobilized and management guidelines are regulated accordingly through full participation of responsible parties then Mindanao is set to achieve maximum capacity of reducing greenhouse gasses emissions and pioneer its ways to the modern ecosystem of the power grid which is mostly composed of renewable energy sources. The policy recognizes the need to address climate change and its impacts on vulnerable populations and identifies opportunities for energy transition that benefit both the environment and the economy. By implementing the Mindanao Clean Energy Transition Plan, Mindanao is a step towards achieving Renewable Energy share targets and diversifying its energy source dependence reducing dependence on imported fuels. The transition to renewable energy will help the community to mitigate the effects of climate change by finding ways to achieve economical and environmentally sustainable energy. On a long term basis, this move will support climate targets and create healthier living conditions.
