Inspiration: Students often have ideas or flashes of insight during "mind-wandering"—while walking, commuting, or even daydreaming.

What it does

This app captures and organizes these ideas, preventing them from getting lost in the busyness of the student's academic life.

Key Feature

Capturing Innovation: Often, the best ideas come when students are not actively focusing on their work. This app ensures that no potentially groundbreaking thought gets lost, encouraging creativity, even outside of structured work time.

Voice Command and Quick Capture: The app enables hands-free input, allowing users to record ideas on the go using voice commands quickly. For example, a student walking across campus could say, “Capture idea: explore ethics of AI in decision-making,” and the app logs it.

Challenges we ran into

Accuracy: Due to different accents, it was hard for some voices to be recognized due to the lack of variety in dataset records.

Accomplishments

Creativity Encouragement: Seeing CMU-Africa members excited with simply the idea that they no longer have to worry about forgetting their amazing ideas is something we're proud of.

Productivity Improvement: Ability to capture thoughts and ideas in just seconds, improving productivity on the go.

Way Forward

  1. More training on various voice accents to ensure an accurate understanding of what is being said
  2. Real-time and automatic organization of ideas based on keywords or context
