Mind Palace

Inspiration

We were inspired by how the human brain works to link information together and one of our team members passion in neuroscience. When we were given the prompt, we immediately thought of how the brain links information together through emotions, places and objects + more. Roblox also seemed like the perfect medium to express our ideas, as it's accessible and allows for creative expression in ways that other choices can't compare to in this time frame.

What it does

It's a Mind Palace technique simulator, allowing for virtual, semi-sharable and savable mind palaces. The intention behind it is to create environments that train associative memory and in order to help the user study / learn / memorize new information and concepts.

How we built it

We built it in roblox studio by 1.Writing out a detailed and comprehensive plan of what we wanted to accomplish, including assets, logic, UI design, and goals for our ideal demo.

4. testing for bugs to ensure that the demo is functional and presentable to show our vision ## Challenges we ran into This was our entire teams first hackathon, and as a team with little to no LUA experience, we had to basically learn it over the duration of the hackathon and implement what we knew. Troubleshooting bugs that broke our entire program was definitely a challenge, and managing scope creep was an obstacle to overcome. We also ran into many technical challenges during implementation. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of

What's next for Mind Palace

Implementing Social features (sharing / joining others) in order to link people together and help them progress towards their learning goals. Moving forward from this project, we will definitely work towards more brain development apps, projects, and other health-related tools.
