Inspiration

We observed the following problems in the market which lead us to starting this project :

  1. Most often due to the supremacy of big companies, small local shops remain unseen in the market reducing their chance to grow.
  2. In e-commerce websites, neither the customer nor the seller gets a chance to negotiate on the prices of products which often leaves both of them at disappointment. Although some sellers are ready to reduce prices, but they aren't able to communicate it to the buyers.
  3. Often the buyer desires a particular kind of product which they need to search for in individual shops and most of the times they fail to find them and compromise with the available choices.
  4. If at all we get our desired products, we have to get it at the price which the seller decides without giving us price options for the same product.

What it does

The working of our website is as follows :

  • The customer presents the specifications and description of the exact product they need. All the sellers and creators place their offers in-front of the buyer along with the option of negotiating their prices. The customer can choose from the various sellers from whom he wants to buy and place the order based on the sellers' experience and reviews.
  • The various sellers be it local shops or big companies can display their expertise in their portfolio and this allows customers to get unique products available only at specific places. This allows sellers to sell their expertise at a higher demand thus solving the issue of local markets disappearing slowly.

How we built it

  • Our prime focus was to build a user-friendly website easy to use for both the buyers and sellers.
  • We did our best to keep a simple UI integrated with proper frontend and backend frameworks to make our project a successful one.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges faced :

  • We kept wondering and implementing how to make the website more and more helpful to solve the issues faced in the market that often remain unseen.
  • We struggled on adding new features to make the website as much user-friendly as possible.
  • Given the numerous problems, we tried to solve many of them as much we could in the given amount of time

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We are really glad that because of this hackathon we got to explore a lot more in the field of technology.
  • It inspired us to use all that we know to bring positive changes in society.

What we learned

  • We worked on various frontend frameworks and also tried our hands on backend.
  • We learnt the real problems of society and there is so much we can do to solve them.
  • We also learnt the way we can use various options to make the UI effective.
  • In order to make the project user-friendly, we learnt as many new frameworks as we could.

What's next for Mind Install

  1. We plan on participating as many hackthons possible as we could to gain experience and give our every contribution possible for the society.
  2. We also plan on exploring more in all fields such as agriculture, fintech, industry, education etc. and do our best to solve the problems going on in every industry.
