There are many mind mapping applications out there. However, the desktop apps are often bloated and not intuitive, and most web apps charge you for premium features.
This one is free, without ads and open source. Forever.
You spend most of your time inside your browser anyway. Why not create your mind maps here as well? This app tries its best to deliver you a smooth user experience that you know from desktop software products.
What it does
This is a HTML5 based mind mapping application. It lets you create neat looking mind maps in the browser.
How I built it
100% offline capable via ApplicationCache Stores mind maps in LocalStorage FileReader API reads stored mind maps from the hard drive Canvas API draws the mind map
Challenges I ran into
Research for the similar application run into the market and find a way to built this application which provide the some external feature than previously existing application. Design the layout of application so that it will provide the best user interface for easy to use.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
it is still available offline? You can use the app wherever you are, there is no need for an internet connection, everything happens inside your browser on your machine.
What I learned
I compete with HTML5 because I am very familier with html but this application provide me a way to learn html5 and javascrpit.
What's next for Mind App
I am looking for adding some more feature like add music or carrol into the application so that it will provide the best user interface.
