Mind AI was inspired by the rising mental stress among college students caused by academic pressure, peer comparison, and personal challenges. Many students hesitate to openly express their emotions due to fear of judgment, which often delays support. We wanted to create a safe, anonymous, and accessible digital platform where students can share their feelings and receive guidance without hesitation. Mind AI is an AI-powered mental wellness web application that provides mood tracking, intelligent chatbot conversations, and early stress detection. The platform includes role-based dashboards for Admin and Counsellors, allowing institutions to monitor emotional trends and identify potential risk cases while maintaining user privacy. We built the application using a modern web technology stack with a responsive frontend, secure backend, cloud database integration, and AI chatbot support. Role-based authentication ensures secure access control, while analytics features help generate meaningful insights for institutions. One of the major challenges we faced was balancing anonymity with useful analytics. Ensuring secure data handling, designing a calm and user-friendly interface, and integrating AI responses effectively required careful planning and continuous improvement. We are proud to have developed a functional prototype that combines AI interaction, stress tracking, and dashboard monitoring into a single platform. Through this project, we learned the importance of merging technology with empathy to solve real-world problems. In the future, we aim to enhance AI personalization, add multilingual support, strengthen predictive analytics, and expand deployment across educational institutions to create a broader impact on student well-being.
