Inspiration

I was trying to think of what to write, and decided to think of something that would make my friends laugh.

What it does

It's a short Visual Novel meant to either make you cringe, burst out laughing, or just stare in confusion. There are two choice menus and a total of 4 different endings. It'd have best effect if you played this game without viewing the screenshots, and go in blind.

How I built it

I used the Ren'Py engine to code the visual novel. I also used royalty free music and sfx, as well as online pictures to help build the story.

Challenges I ran into

Had to come up with scenarios on the spot because I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do. Also having to familiarize myself with some Python syntax in order to achieve certain effects I wanted in the game.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Coming up with an overall silly plot that might make most people think I am crazy. I also came up with some art myself within the tight deadline, although it is not exactly very good quality.

What I learned

The basics of Python as well as familiarized myself with the Ren'Py engine.

What's next for Mimiko's Love Story

I may add more scenarios and memes for more silly fun times. Also I hope to work on a GUI theme for this game to help make it fit its joke theme even better.
