Inspiration

MilkThatCares comes from a mix between the success of foodbank collection points and "The Modern Milkman" style of grocery deliveries

What it does

It allows people to make regular donations to their foodbank whilst they shop.

Challenges we ran into

Finding a framework to replace MSSQL in Entity Framework, so it's fully open source based, and deployment pipeline took a while to put together. Also deploying a MariaDB database as a shared resource in a docker cluster took some time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It works! The website has most functions, services and data sources working. It's ready now for native app development.

What we learned

MariaDB is a suitable substitute for MSSQL in Entity Framework Core. OAuth is difficult to integrate into angular.
