Inspiration

We were inspired based on the challenge by the NSIN to build a relationship visualizer in the military.

What it does

Our project uses a Firebase database to allow users to be entered into the system. They can then find related users based on commonalities, such as events that both people attended.

How I built it

We built this as a website application using HTML, CSS, Firebase, and Django.

Challenges I ran into

We were originally using MongoDB but had issues in getting it to work with Django.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

The application accurately searches for users based on shared events and features.

What I learned

We learned about Firebase and Django.

What's next for Military Graph Database

Add a visual graph with nodes and edges.
