What it does

  1. Enables users to Enrol/De-enrol for availing preferential rate of interest as per the Federal law in timely manner.
  2. Using this, financial institutions can be 100 percent compliant and can avoid penalities by providing their services timely as per the Federal law.

How we built it

Using Pega Cosmos and Pega Case Management, built two case types namely Enrollment and Deenrollment which allows users to apply for availing benefits as per the Federal law.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Having to manage the Hackathon along with the regular project works was not easy, however this was offset due to Pega Case Management and Pega Cosmos which enabled quick implementation.
  2. There is no API available right now to integrate with Department of Defence website due to which the information has to be filled manually.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Simple and guided approach using end to end process based Pega Case Management solution with SLA driven compliance.

What we learned

  1. Keeping simple always reaps, when you get too complex you forget the obvious.
  2. Had an insight into current problems of defence personnel.

What's next for Military Assist

Create more use cases to support defence personnel in other fields like repossession of assets, foreclosure benefits, insurance, retirement benefits, etc.
