Inspiration

Genshin UGC does not support importing custom images, but it does support basic primitives with configurable properties such as color and opacity. This creates an opportunity to generate UI assets through external editing tools. Advances in multimodal AI have made this increasingly feasible. WebMCP, in particular, makes AI-driven editing more direct and convenient.

What it does

We provide a web-based tool that lets people or AI compose an image from editable primitives; the video demonstrates the workflow.

How we built it

AI coding assistants such as Codex, OpenCode, and KiloCode.

Challenges we ran into

The technical path evolved over time. Initially, it was an application designed only for human editing. The original workflow was:

  1. AI generates CSS or SVG.
  2. The tool imports and renders it.
  3. A human manually refines the result. The results were poor, likely because the AI could not directly inspect the visual outcome while generating CSS or SVG. Using WebMCP produced much better results. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of As shown in the video, the AI can build a reasonably high-quality image directly from primitives. ## What we learned Further improvement will depend on stronger AI visual-control capabilities, deeper WebMCP knowledge. ## What's next for Miliastra Image Editor more tools that help the AI inspect, refine, and perfect its output.
