Miler App was born from a contradiction I experienced firsthand: endurance sports are incredibly powerful for physical and mental well-being, yet they are often practiced in isolation.

After more than 15 years in sports and transitioning from team environments into trail running, I found myself training consistently but mostly alone. While platforms like Strava and TrainingPeaks excel at tracking performance, they don’t address a fundamental gap -- helping athletes stay consistent through connection, guidance, and a sense of belonging.

Miler was created to fill that gap: a simple, athlete-first layer focused not just on data, but on motivation and human connection.

To validate the idea, I took a lean and execution-driven approach. Without a technical background, I built an initial prototype using vibe-coding platforms like Lovable, allowing me to quickly simulate the product experience and test core assumptions around engagement and consistency.

We are now evolving Miler into a native app, currently under development and being distributed via TestFlight. Our plan is to begin beta testing in early May with two teams and a group of ambassadors, focusing on real-world usage and feedback.

The main challenges have been building without a technical background, navigating the fragmented ecosystem of endurance platforms, and balancing long-term vision with fast execution. These constraints forced a strong focus on simplicity, speed, and problem clarity.

This journey reinforced a few key beliefs: early-stage products win through execution, not complexity; consistency is driven more by connection than features; and simplicity is a competitive advantage, especially for beginners.

Miler is still in its early stages, but the vision is clear -- to help people start, stay consistent, and feel connected in their endurance journey, ultimately addressing one of the sport’s most overlooked challenges: isolation.
