Inspiration
We were inspired by classic platformer games like Mario and Mega Man. We wanted to challenge ourselves to see if we could complete a platformer game in this short time. We started with a base platformer and as we were working we added more things that helped it feel more like a platformer.
What it does
Control Mildorf and help him fight to escape the dungeon. You will learn about many of his skills throughout playing and gain skills to become better at the game.
How I built it
We built our game with GameMaker Studio 2
Challenges I ran into
We had a lot of problems collaborating at first as GMS2 files are hard to work with until we finally found a solution to collaborating.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We are proud that we finished our game in this short amount of time without any of us having a lot of experience making games.
What I learned
I learned a lot about GMS2 in this process and how to build a program from your project.
What's next for Mildorf's Trial
Making more levels and add better art to make the game more appealing. Maybe create a better story line to help portray what is happening in the game.
