Inspiration
Our journey began with a shared passion for animal welfare and a deep concern for the countless stray animals struggling to survive in our community. Witnessing their resilience and the challenges they face every day moved us to take action. We were inspired by the idea of creating a platform that could provide a ray of hope for these innocent souls, connecting them with compassionate individuals willing to give them a loving home.
What it does
It serves as a lifeline for animals, offering them devoted caregivers, while simultaneously providing companionship and emotional support to users in need of a faithful friend
How we built it
We harnessed the power of cutting-edge MERN stack technologies to create our platform. Our frontend, a masterpiece of user interaction, was crafted with React and Tailwind CSS, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing experience. On the backend, we leveraged the robust capabilities of Express.js, complemented by MongoDB as our database solution. Together, these technologies form the backbone of our innovative and user-friendly platform.
Challenges we ran into
Time constraint was the main challenge as we are doing a full stack project for the first time , it was difficult to connect frontend with backend . we had planned to add more features in our project but due to limited time we can't but we will try to make it better in future.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
After doing lot of efforts we are finally able to connect the frontend with backend . we have also learned a lot while building the project . It was really a nice experience .
What we learned
we learned about the UI/UX of website . we also get knowledge about how the full stack web app works like database connection , sending response to the backend from frontend etc.
What's next for Milaap
We are planning to improve our website by adding some more features like reporting an animal by users , will try to build an android app as well so that it will be easily accessible by everyone.
