What it does
I am migrating existing Trino workloads to EC2 with Graviton.
How we built it
Have used docker containers to create Trino distributions on both and superset docker container on a different machine to show the perf differences
Challenges we ran into
Initial setup on Graviton but the Graviton intro resources were really helpful
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I have seen the query performance increased and latencies reduced around 30% to 40 % of what it took to run on amd64 EC2 machine with same configuration.
What we learned
Graviton really does the magic and we are planning to do a full scale test with large number of nodes with workloads including concurrent queries
What's next for Migrating Presto/Trino workloads to EC2 Graviton
We are planning to deploy a full scale cluster with large number of nodes and benchmark workloads including different types of workloads
