Migrate Everesst to Gradle

We want to migrate a single microservice project from Maven to a modern build tool like Gradle

This should be fairly simple was it not for the fact that the services use the Java Module system. Gradle has support for modules but is very strict about it. We're running into problems with dependencies that are not module aware.
