Title: Migrate Better

A predictive and data-driven dashboard to help global students and expats navigate through their migration decisions.

Inspiration

I'm an expat who moved from India to France 3 years ago as a student, and this is my shot at building a tool that I wish I had when I was making my decision to migrate.

Aim & Approach

An increasingly volatile world has led to greater uncertainty in migration. This tool aims to bridge the gap between the life students and expats envision, dream-of and what it is actually like to live there. This is a tool built to close that gap. It aims to turn a decision that often relies on guesswork into an informed choice supported by hard data.

Problem

Moving to a new country is more than just a change of address; it is a major transition that comes with real financial and personal stakes. Given how volatile the global climate on migration is, it's more important now than ever for students and expats to inform themselves better and decide where they'll spend the rest of their lives.

Approach

Solution

Using a combination of Kaggle datasets (Silver and Bronze), this project goes beyond simply displaying past statistics. It focuses on forward-looking insights that inform you on which country's population needs migrants, and what the financial, political, and climate landscape looks like.

The tool uses predictive analysis, custom calculations, and projections to help users compare and visualize data that could help the user make a decision.
