Migracle Copilot

Inspiration

Observability products bills can get as high as entire cloud bills for enterprises (https://blog.pragmaticengineer.com/datadog-65m-year-customer-mystery/). However they are locked in existing product since it's very expensive to migrate eg moving from Datadog to Grafana is complex and can take a long time of multiple months and quarters.

What it does

Migracle copilot enables observability migration in days and weeks instead of months and quarters, by using AI agents to migrate most of the queries and dashboards automatically, while still keeping human in the loop for difficult cases.

How we built it

A chrome extension + copilot sidebar experience for human input and a backend agent + fine tuned model for automation.

Challenges we ran into

Preventing model hallucination and getting high accuracy.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating this demo with very limited resources and no funding.

What we learned

Explored multiple frameworks and options for each part of the stack - chrome vs electron app, copilotkit vs vercel, langgraph vs crewai vs mastra, huggingface vs gcp vs axolotl.

What's next for Migracle Copilot

Finding end users, observability providers and systems integrators who might be interested in this.
