Our program simulates Mystic Square using Python, and makes it easily accessible
How we built it
We built our program on repl.it. Specifically, we used a random generator and arrays for the board, and the w, a, s, and d keys to move the tiles.
Challenges we ran into
Our first challenge that we ran into was identifying a theme for our program. We also ran into a few syntax errors through which we lost a lot of time. Another issue we faced was cleanly formatting and organizing our code.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're very proud of our program, because it is our first hackathon, and we're also proud that we could finish our code within a few hours.
What we learned
We learned about the benefits of working as a team, as well as the numerous uses of coding to solve any problem that one is faced with. We liked the workshops and the opportunity to learn new things, especially for beginners.
What's next for Mystic Square
Making it an app or website and adding better visuals would be the next step for Mystic Square. Another possible improvement is only giving solvable boards to the user by finding a solvable pattern.
