Inspiration

I wanted to create a micro-learning platform that fits today’s busy world. Seeing how long courses on platforms like Coursera or MasterClass often go unfinished sparked the idea for BrevEdu—short, focused learning moments under 5 minutes with ability to practice with digital‑twin AI chat provided by Tavus, just like real conversation.

What it does

  • Offers AI-generated short videos (≤5 min) on various topics;
  • Lets users chat with a Tavus-powered AI tutor after each video on different topics with limit of 2 minutes per each session for cost optimisation;
  • Has tiered access: Free (1 AI session/day) and Premium (3/day);
  • Includes an admin panel for managing courses, customizing AI prompts and AI settings;

How we built it

  • Developed entirely with Bolt.new - 12940 lines of code was written by bolt.new;
  • Integrated Tavus for AI practice sessions;
  • Used Firebase for storing user data and Google Analytics for tracking;
  • Built an admin panel to manage course content and AI prompts;

Challenges we ran into

Conversational AI Video Challenge For the Conversational AI Video Challenge, I used Tavus to embed real-time AI video agents in the Bolt.new app. The goal was to create an AI tutor experience- letting users discuss topics with an AI avatar, pushing the boundaries of conversational video agents.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite the result, I’m glad I took part in this hackathon. After it, I understood how to work with Bolt.new, what I was missing out on, how to build a product from scratch, and how to work with AI tools in a more advanced way. It's a great way to dive in and learn how to work with it, and no amount of YouTube videos can show you how. Great job!

  • AI integration (like Tavus) can add real conversational value;
  • Designing tiered access and limits improves user motivation to upgrade;
  • Monitoring user events via analytics provides essential insight;

  • Finish Premium access and integrate live payment;
  • Expand the course library across more topics;
  • Improve custom AI prompts based on user feedback and performance.
