🎯 Inspiration Managing finances can be overwhelming with scattered data across banks, credit cards, and investments. We aimed to simplify financial tracking while encouraging smart investing effortlessly.
💰 What it does MicroFinancer provides real-time financial insights, budget tracking, and AI-driven investment recommendations. The MicroInvestment feature rounds up spare change and invests it wisely.
🛠️ How we built it We used Django REST Framework for the backend, React + Vite for the frontend, and Pathway + Fetch AI for real-time financial insights. APIs like Plaid/Yodlee help fetch transaction data securely.
🚧 Challenges we ran into Processing transactions in real-time while ensuring efficient performance was tricky. Designing AI-driven financial recommendations that are both useful and simple was another challenge.
🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of We successfully built an AI-powered financial assistant that provides real-time insights. The MicroInvestment system helps users invest seamlessly without changing spending habits.
📚 What we learned We explored AI-driven financial modeling and optimized database performance for large-scale transactions. Additionally, we improved real-time data processing using Pathway's vector store.
🔮 What's next for MicroFinancer We plan to enhance AI-driven financial coaching, add budget automation, and introduce multi-currency support. Expanding investment opportunities and launching a mobile app are also in the pipeline.
