CAD rendition of our prototype
Many die from cardiac arrest, we want to reduce the number down from 264,222 to 0. Every 1 minute, the survival rate of cardiac arrest decreases 10% without AED intervention.
What it does
A smartphone-based AED that is ultraportable, lightweight, cheaper, but still equally effective.
How we built it
Using some hardware (AED paddles, capacitors, EKG processor), Azure, android studio.
Challenges we ran into
Trouble with the domain, some difficulties with CAD drawing.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Shrinking an AED down 85% in size and driving down cost by an additional 90%.
What we learned
Learned extensively just how much heart issues affect the world.
What's next for MicroAED
Developing the next iteration of the prototype, securing seed funding.
