Inspiration
Usually, on Khan academy, there is a limited number of each type of questions. Here, the same structure can apply to many questions, giving a very nice tool to strengthen any skill.
What it does
It generates a math problem and you have 10 seconds to answer, if you answer correctly within that time limit then you get points, if you answer incorrectly then you get no points, if you answer it correctly but not within the time limit then it counts as incorrect. The more answers you get right the more points you get if you answer problems correctly and in a row then you will get a streak, if you get a streak of 3, then you get double points next question. If you get a streak of 5, then you get triple points next question.
How we built it
We made 3 separate programs, Jaden focusing on the timer and mechanics, Matthew focusing on the pausing mechanism and a working example, and Michael working on the numbers in the problem.
Challenges we ran into
We had trouble with randomizing it and putting all of the programs together.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made a randomized math quiz and tried a Hackathon for the first time and in our opinion did well.
What we learned
We kind of learned how to code in python and improved at working together.
What's next for Micro Mouse
To try more complex problems.
Built With
- python
