Inspiration

As traders ourselves, we understand the importance of engagement and recognition on a trading platform. We were inspired to create a solution that rewards customers for their actions and achievements while also increasing engagement on the platform.

What it does

It offers a new trading experience with our behavior-based NFT system. Traders are rewarded with unique NFTs based on their achievements and actions on our platform. The more NFTs collected, the higher the community status level. With our NFT marketplace, traders can trade, collect, and showcase their NFTs, creating a more engaging environment.

How we built it

With remote work becoming increasingly common, our team was comprised of both remote and in-person team members. To ensure effective collaboration, we utilized various communication tools and held regular virtual meetings to discuss our progress and brainstorm ideas.

Using the MoSCoW prioritization technique, we identified and prioritized the key features required to address the challenge. This helped us to refine our initial idea and establish clear objectives for the project.

As we progressed, we added complexity to the objectives, building on the success of previous features. We divided the work among team members based on their expertise and interests, while still collaborating to ensure that the overall solution was cohesive and met the project objectives.

Throughout the project, we were constantly learning and adapting to new technologies. We worked together to overcome challenges and implement the most effective solutions. By dividing the work and still collaborating, we were able to learn from each other and leverage each other's strengths, resulting in a successful project.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced was adapting to a new set of technologies that deviated from the design patterns we typically use in our daily work. Despite this, we were able to deliver a polished proof of concept within a limited timeframe. However, we also had to accept that some aspects of the solution were outside the scope of the PoC and had to be deferred for future iterations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're incredibly proud of how we worked together as a team to overcome challenges and learn new technologies in the process. We're also proud of the fact that we were able to develop high-quality software through hands-on experience and by helping others to do the same. These achievements not only helped us to succeed in this project, but also contributed to our growth as professionals in the industry.

What we learned

Through our research and development, we learned how to create and implement NFTs and smart contracts to track and reward trading behaviors. We also learned how to build a marketplace for customers to trade, collect, and showcase their NFTs.

What's next for MiamiBull

Moving forward, we plan to carefully evaluate all of the submissions to this problem statement in order to learn from other teams' experiences and insights. We will also look closer at some of the areas that were deemed out of scope for the PoC and determine how we can further refine the solution. In particular, we will focus on identifying the most important areas for engaging traders and ensuring that they feel the rewards of their hard work. Ultimately, our goal is to create a trading experience that is a step ahead of the competition and provides a real financial edge to our users.
