Mi Events

The story: We wanted to make this app because it would be a cool way to find out whats going on around campus.

Inspiration: Facebook groups just don't cut it. Beyond the weekly "foam party" invitations that I recieve from unknown facebook users, there are some other obvious flaws: There are always too many notifications, you never know most of the people in the groups you are in, and they don't enable a community's growth. Our app picks up on all of these down falls. We saw a need for something more, and we made it.

features we think are cool:

• ability to create an event to share with friends (private) or to share with the entire Notre Dame community.
• The feature that allows you to add a specific app user to your event
• A campus map feature
  
  • labels each of the event on a map
  • uses relevant, campus specific data like building names
• Login feature
  • enlists the person in the database
  • allows them to stay logged into the app
  • keeps track of their events as well as their friends
• Check-in Feature allows the user to check into an event to notify those in charge who is currently attending
