Inspiration

This project was inspired by the event, MHacks!

What it does

This project displays a spinning MHacks logo with a feature that allows the user to click the logo to accumulate points. The points are displayed in the top left corner.

How we built it

We built this using VSCode, Three.JS, Github to host a live collaboration and blender for the 3D modeling of the M logo.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges we faced include trying to implement a feature that incorporates a river/water to represent Michigan's great lakes, but we decided not to include it because we could not get it display correctly. We also struggled with adding the score count to the model, as well as building the model in blender because it took a lot of time and crashed a couple times... We also had difficulties with import statements where we had to change the paths of the branches.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to learn more about Three.JS and improve the MHacks logo with small details that highlight its features.

What we learned

We learned how to create Github pages, use blender for 3D modeling, use Github's live collaboration feature and explored new ways to create visually appealing and responsive images...
