What's next for LearnAR## Inspiration
Inspired by my tutor' overarching goal to democratize education and his new found passion in augmented reality. I decided with him to create an app using augmented reality technology to populate a list of his AR projects for immersive educational purposes.
SDG goal 4:Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. We created learners to improve education through experiential learning for the 21 century classroom.
What it does
Upon clicking on any of the card views, the app will launch the AR experience (depending on the device's compatibility with AR core etc). kindly check the device requirements here: link
Learners would click on any of the card views and an interactive interface would be launched so that they can have an immersive interaction with scientific (biology) parts. There's the share and qr code option for social sharing when clicked.
How we built it
We created the AR experience in Adobe Aero and then created a react app for learners to be able to interact and have a catalogue of our AR project we've created or future projects from within the app. This is an example of one of our AR projects tested with a colleagues device in real life: Animal cell link
Digestive link
Heart link
Challenges we ran into
Internet issues and selecting of the right 3D assets and images etc for the desired outcome and also compatibility issues for testing on devices of which our device isn't supported.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
That the project has successfully been created, pheww.😅
What we learned
To never give up when bugs surface.
