Inspiration
I was foremost inspired by Mr. Hamish Todd's research paper on the structure of the virus. I then solemnly decided to dedicate my project to emulate his research thesis.
What it does
Basically my simulator emulates an arbitrary "virus shell" in icosahedral geometric forms
How I built it
I used bare-bones c++ and the opengl library
Challenges we ran into
Mathematics, algorithms, faulty equipment, etc
Accomplishments that we're proud of
During the entirety of the project, I had finally mastered Opengl
What we learned
I learnt how shader systems render graphics using the vertex, fragment and geometry shaders
What's next for Mexil
I do wish to actually finish it and move ahead with its development as there's still much to do
