Inspiration

Space invaders

use WASD to move around the space and shoot down the enemies

We use P5 play to build it

We ran into the challenge of connecting sprites with their perspective images and trying to animate the background and ships.

We are proud to have the background to work and see the movements of the enemy work.

We learned that about the methods of P5play and some of the special function the JavaScript has.

We hope to be able to finish it and put it on discord

Was able to work with the enemies and their movements, just couldn't work with the sprites in time

I worked on the movement of the ship. I tried to make it fluid with the animation (sprite and movement) as it moves around, which was challenging since I have to trial and error. Then I made the boundaries so the ship and the bullets doesn't go outside the screen. I also made where if the bullets go outside the screen, it deletes the sprite so it doesn't overload the machine, causing it to crash. Then I added a power up where if the ship makes contact with it, it increases the attack speed. Last thing I did was the background where it feels like the ship is going fast. I am still new to p5play and javascript. :D
