Metropolis is an NFT marketplace where any user can mint NFT as ERC-721 token. The goal of metropolis is to provide a simple and straightforward user experience.

Inspiration

Metropolis is designed to provide easy onboarding using web2 based social logins and Gasless Meta transactions. Web3 applications currently face significant barriers to user adoption due to poor user onboarding & transaction experiences. Non-crypto savvy new users will have to pass KYC, purchase ETH from an exchange, download a wallet, then connect their wallet before they can go any further, which can take days! No one waits for days to try out an application. As of now with existing platform, one have to know a lot of web3 tech just to explore few art-work and collectibles. Additionally, I believe that the existing marketplace websites might be improved in terms of UI and aesthetics. They still have an outdated design that, in my opinion, detracts from having an awesome first-visit experience.

How we built it

First I did a research like what I can make with my current skill set and thought of making metropolis.

Challenges we ran into

I faced lot of integration problem, was getting lots of bug while integrating web3auth and Biconomy SDK. Also this time I was doing it as solo project so I have to all the work, both frontend and backend was being managed by me, so it was kinda difficult to manage. But I did it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I made this project live, even tho web3auth and biconomy is not working properly as of now I am happy that after puting lots of effort the dapp is doing its 70% job. I am happpy that while making metropolis I learned man different technologies. It was my first time exposure to solution provided by Chainlink and Biconomy.

What we learned

I learned about how to take decision, like what to implement as of now and what to leave. Learned to be consistent. And lots of technical learning.

What's next for Metropolis

Ya, there is lot of work to do for Metropolis, I have to fix web3auth and Biconomy errors. Well m thinking of extending metropolis to another projct where I have concept of NFT lending, rental and liquidity pool bakced by NFTs.
