Inspiration

We wanted to answer a big question: How can cities move faster and smarter to improve human coordination? Today, traffic and urban flow are major pain points. Metropola was born to turn fragmented data into real-time insights that make cities more efficient and livable.

What it does

Metropola integrates data from mobile devices, satellites, and drones to map human and vehicle movement. It provides cities with a real-time view of urban flow, helping reduce congestion, improve safety, and optimize resources.

How we built it

We used Google Gemini to brainstorm the project idea, then put that idea into Claude to create a PRD, After that, we used Vercel (v0.app) to deploy the landing page. Once the landing page was built we transferred the code to GitHub.

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest hurdle was deployment—figuring out how to transfer and manage the project between Vercel and GitHub.

Accomplishments

We’re proud of how quickly we went from idea to concept, and how team creativity and collaboration shaped a clear vision.

What we learned

We learned how to use Vercel, but more importantly, how to translate a massive urban challenge into a working prototype.

What's next for Metropola

Our next step is to expand Metropola into a full smart city intelligence system that supports innovation and improves quality of life.
