Inspiration

No matter where I looked on social media, I always saw people arguing with each other about a topic, a movie, or any other reason. Then I asked myself how to make these discussions more enjoyable and competitive.

What it does

As MetaVote, we have created a blockchain-based forum-voting platform for sports fans, anime lovers, those who want to discuss politics, defend their fans, comment, and others. On our platform, users select the categories they are interested in from the main screen. Then they can enter the polls that create the discussion topics they want within the categories. They can vote for the concepts they support in the poll and participate in the discussion from the comment section below. And we aim to create all of them on the TRON infrastructure.

How we built it

For the front part, html5, css3, js, and bootstrap were used. PHP and MySQL were used to keep and organize the survey data. In addition, web3 tests continue to be made by connecting the metamask wallet.

Challenges we ran into

It was difficult to do market research and focus on what we could do differently to stand out from our competitors in the market. But we decided on 2 issues. Reliable and Fair... First, you register your Crypto Wallet in our system. Thanks to these personalized wallets, each person can only vote once in voting. In addition, our survey results will be announced after the poll period ends. In this way, people can vote freely without being affected by herd mentality. Finally, some people may want to vote privately in such surveys; for example, I am one of them. For such cases, we also added a "hidden" submit button when participating in the survey.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Although it was tiring, we presented our project to different people and tried to hear various perspectives, and as a result, we learned what we should pay attention to and should not pay attention to. I find our determination successful in this regard.

What we learned

While developing our project, we learned where and how we could get help where necessary. In addition, we have completed training sets on wallet and blockchain technology and improved ourselves.

What's next for MetaVotePoll

We want to reach more people by advertising our project, and after choosing the starting base, we want to set out with professional software and pr team.

Important Updates

As we participated in Hackathon Season 2, we had to update our project massively. The significant changes we have made and continue to make are listed below: • Smart contracs in the voting system were created. • With the KYC feature, it was determined to give only one vote per person. • It was planned to create an revenue model by making commission charged per survey. • Considering that people may create violations of rights or offensive surveys, system surveys will first be evaluated by our team and the artificial intelligence we are developing. • Also, polls of worldwide events like World Cup finalists, Eurovision winners, Elections and so on will be generated by our system.

Proposal for converting to TRON/BTTC

We aim to develop the script of the Ethereum software we developed over Remix ide in accordance with Tron-ide, and users will connect it to the Tron ​​wallet instead of any other digital wallet. In this process, voting on our site will now be made using Tron ​​tokens, and the winners' prizes will be sent as Tron.
