Largest participatory democratic exercise in the American South.
Request: Create an app to crowdsource and crowdfund collaboration on maps of problems.
We are currently the largest participatory democratic exercise in the American South, we have been doing participatory budgeting since 2013, with completion of Metaverse PB we will be the largest participatory democratic exercise in the history of the United States. We are collaborating with Kerala, India to develop a Metaverse PB so both our people in Kerala, India, and Texas, USA can use it. The Metaverse PB allows peoples to move within a map to their PB whether its your college, neighborhood, and city so you can propose projects and place proposal design on sites like sim city for real, have the proposal vetted by committee of citizens, and finally have the whole community for it.
Participatory Budgeting is a grassroots process through which community members vote directly to allocate 1-15% of the school, college, district, town, and city budget toward proposals developed by the community to meet local needs. Through a series of public meetings, members work with officials throughout the year to identify concerns and craft proposals to address them. People then decide which proposals to fund through a public vote.
