What it does

MetaStory is a fun iPhone application that lets you create a funny/nonsensical story in the style of Mad Libs. Simply snap up to six photos of nearby objects and the app will analyze and identify the objects in each picture, then read out a short story using those objects to fill in the blanks!

How it works

To identify the objects in the photos we used the MetaMind API's Visual Classifier. After the user finishes taking photos, the app generates a story by taking a classic tale like Alice in Wonderland and replacing a few of the nouns with the objects found in the photos.

The idea for MetaStory came from thinking about our favorite camping activities (in keeping with the Bitcamp vibe). Mad Libs is a fun game to play sitting around a campfire and we thought it would be fun to create a digital version with a twist.
