To use the Meta, we wanted to target repetitive tasks that require the user to be mostly stationary - gyms seemed to fit this. TVs are already popular in front of treadmills, but AR would take the engagement to the next level.
In the long run, we believe that the quality of the content will grow with internet bandwidth. For example, a 1Gbps connection could better support concentrated clusters of quad-HD/4K streaming devices (and beyond). Engaging users while doing rote tasks - such as exercising, on automated transportation (e.g. self-driving cars in the next decade). AR as a form of media consumption in addition to the rise of personal streaming and recording - note GoPro for outdoors and Twitch.tv for gaming - will make high-quality, immersive, and personal entertainment far more accessible than the current state of media.
